So, I am home. I was released yesterday and was able to sleep in my own bed last night without nurses coming in every hour to wake me up to get my blood pressure. That is always nice!
I got a shower this morning to wash all the hospital cooties off. It is amazing how the simple act of taking a shower, something that you take for granted, can make you utterly exhausted. I got my shower, put on clean clothes, sat on the couch and passed back out for a few hours. I know I need the rest from just having internal organs removed, but it still amazes me how easy it is to get sleepy from doing simple things like showering.
I am feeling pretty well, considering. My gut is feeling bruised and, like the surgery in May I had to have the fallopian tube out, my belly button hurts if I am sitting a certain way, but other than that I am feeling fine. Walking around is a little bit of a chore, but I am sure that will get better as days get on.
I will say this though, I even with the pain I have in my shoulder from the gas they pumped in me, I am not regretting anything. I can’t wait to recover and get on with life! 😀
