Let’s talk about feet.

I for quite a few years I have had those nasty winter feet you see on TV when you see an ad for foot cream. I even have a patch on either foot that is on TOP of my food that runs from my toes to above my ankles that is hard skin.

I hate it.

My feet weren’t always that way. They used to be nice and soft except for the soles which were calloused, I admit, but not all cracked and funky looking. Now my feet look like those nasty ones on the PedEgg commercial. I have even joked with DH that maybe I need to order me a PedEgg!

Well, no more!

The other day we went to Best Buy to get one of those strips where you can plug multiple AV cables into. We have too many gaming systems that we always have to unplug something from the back of the TV. As we were checking out there was a small display of Burt’s Bees and in that display was a $12.99 foot care kit complete with creme, a pumice stone and little bee socks!

I figure why not…every other foot kit was like $20 or more so I figure $12.99 isn’t bad. I have wasted more money on less and at worst it will just be a good moisturizer. DH laughed at me that I was buying foot cream at Best Buy…but I told him that I couldn’t really find a better deal and I was confident Burt’s Bees was a good product.

So, I get home and open the package. The creme isn’t too bad…not much of a smell though sometimes I do get a hint of coconut and mint. It is really thick and greasy though like antibiotic ointment. I immediately know I have to wear the socks. So I slather on the creme, and put on the socks. They seem kinda thin so I go get another older pair of thicker socks to go over them (which is fine by me since my feet are always cold) and then go about the rest of the day. Yea, it says to do it at night, but I get too hot if I put socks on at night.

The next day I check my feet (I didn’t take my socks off until right before bed and they still had some of the creme on there)…I look at my feet and I see……my feet are better! It will take a week or more I am sure to get that nice foot look, but they are already better! Yesterday was my second day using the stuff and they are better than before! Even the dry patch on top of my feet feel almost like regular skin now and not like I dumped glue on there and let it dry. I show DH and he says, “Wow! And to think you got that stuff at Best Buy!”

I am so excited! I am finally going to have nice feet again! Sandals here I come!

In other words, if you have nasty winter feet…go get you some Burt’s Bees!

I remember, many years ago, a product called “Pretty Feet and Hands”. It worked very well, from what I recall, but I haven’t seen it recently (but that doesn’t mean anything, since I haven’t looked for it either).

My grandmother has horrible problems with her skin – it gets very dry and turns into thick callous-like areas even where there shouldn’t be any callouses – and her doctor told her to get a product called “Bag Balm”. You can get it at any pharmacy (it’s over the counter, but you might have to ask for it), and it works miracles for her. My little beagle has terrible skin problems as well, and it has done miracles for her too.

LOL I just saw the PedEgg commercial the other day and all those crazy commercials crack me up.

I might pick me up some of that Burt’s Bees though… My feet are all scaly and calloused on the bottoms. And, I have ugly feet! I hate my feet!
