Did You Know…

Blogs are the only place I get news anymore, sad to say.  I am thankful to those diligent souls that scour the internets and other sources for relevant or under-reported news.  Many times what I read on blogs I have never even heard much less read about. So, today is a link day in that I am going to list some links to blogs that have reported some news that maybe no one else had heard of.  I find that most of this stuff effects us all (which is why I and probably a lot of others have never heard of them).

The first in line is from Junkfood Science.  Sandy spends many hours researching scientific data and studies as well as news from the medical field and explains it in layman’s terms so us little people can understand.  Sandy takes  lot of time doing this…so if you can donate any money to her, please do so and checkout the rest of her blog (not just the link below) for more informative information in the health industry.

The latest of what an insurance company is trying to pull in California (yours may be next).

NOTE:  This story has been UPDATED.

The Latest on DEATHS from Bariatric (Obesity) Surgery.  Sandy has a whole series on this.  Read it.

An anthropologist had decided that women are to blame for all male suicides. *cough*bullshit*cough*

Study: Fat People are CHEAPER to treat.  Oh, Really?

There were actually a lot more that I wanted to post…but I can’t find them now.  Most of them have to do with the FA movement AND health issues in general.  Stay tuned in case I find them again.  :-P

I took a look at the blog entry you listed about women being to blame for male suicides.

Apparently we are also to blame – simply by virtue of being female – when men plot to kill us, and when men actually kill us.

    Wow. Just, wow.

I think the guy who wrote that “study” needs a few years on a therapist’s couch himself.
