You really suck. >:-(
Well, not YOU…but Windows Vista. My old machine had XP and while I didn’t like it at first it grew on me. I mean, at least XP let me use all my old games and software. Not Vista. Nooo…they can’t make it where you can use your old stuff even if your software isn’t that old! We bought a Dazzle adapter for our old analog video camera so I could capture movies off of it. Guess what…IT DOESN’T WORK WITH VISTA! I have went to the freaking website and downloaded every patch/driver update there was and every time I try to use it, it crashes the system. I think all I have to do is re-purchase Pinnacle Studio…but my new machine came with Premier Elements!!! I feel it is superior to Studio…but I can’t get the Dazzle to work with Premier.
Moving on…Vista also won’t work with my older versions of other software as well. My only options are a) buy new software which can be in the $1,000’s or b)use an old computer which is a pain because then I have to transfer things back and forth. And Vista is so wonky (hehe I like that word) that I can’t figure out how to use the ftp address for our website to upload anything! I have to use DH’s pc!
So, anyway…
I am in the process of transferring our old family website to WordPress (not here WordPress, but we downloaded the freeware they give out at WordPress.org). I had been thinking on it for a long time and now that I have Vista and can’t get anything to work on it, I thought it the perfect time to change. All I need to do is upload any image files on our server and insert the correct html into the blog to make it work. No more having to change things then upload and blah blah blah. I kinda hate it though as I really liked the design of my old site. I realize I can change the CSS but that is too much trouble.
Yes, I am L A Z Y.
I am still having some issues and I know it will confuse a few family members that aren’t exactly computer literate…but over all I think it will be better for me in the long run to update. With the new baby I am not going to have hours and hours to sit here and make changes and fix problems.
Ok, mini vent over. Back to work.

Ugh… I’ve heard nothing but horror stories about Vista. But, hell, don’t you remember when ‘95 was the thing and then everyone went out and upgraded to ‘98, killed their systems, and then had to go back to ‘95? Sigh. Those were the days. LOL.
[Sandy says: Yea, DH reminded me of that too...that every new operating system has had bugs and things no one likes. I just hate that I have to find a way pay for all the software updates. lol]
Yeah, Vista suck hairy donkey balls. But after three months of using it, I am slowly working out all the kinks. Slowly.
