Diaper Chronicles - Part 4 - It happened Again!

We went to the pool yesterday.  I was very nice and somewhat relaxing.  It took me a while to get Babyhead in the pool…the water wasn’t “cold” but it was cold to him and he didn’t want to get in…a nice lady helped me out to calm him down and get him in the water.  It was the first time he has worn his little “swim school” suit with the floatation built in so he was a little scared at first, but after a while he realize it was cool to not have to hold on to mommy for dear life.

Anyway, DH came home at the usual time after Babyhead and I got back from the pool.  We decided to go back for a little while longer since Babyhead didn’t want to leave the first time.  When we got back this time DH decided he had to pee…Babyhead just about bowled me over trying to get in there to watch daddy peepee…then HE decided to peepee in HIS potty.  Sure enough, he stood there over his little potty and peed all over the place!  LOL  He wanted to be like daddy and stand up, not like mommy and sit down (maybe it is confusing for him since he can’t “see” me pee?).

So, there it is.  He wants to be like daddy.  I told DH he HAS to take Aidan with him now everytime he pees…so Babyhead will want to pee too.  It will be a good way to get him in the habit of going a lot during the day and maybe help him realize when he has to go.

I am torn though.  I am happy he is getting to be a big boy…but I am sad that I am losing my baby.  One day he will not want to lay around in bed with me and say, “Mornin Mommy, how are you?” or give me big kisses and hugs.

Sometimes it sucks being a parent.
